Registry info 928 S4 Clubsport

This registry is dedicated to a very special 928, the Clubsport. The Porsche 928 is a luxury grand tourer produced by Porsche AG of Germany from 1978 to 1995. Originally to replace the 911.
The Clubsport was up to 100 kg (220 lb) lighter and became available in 1988. This model was the toned-down version of the 1987 factory prototype which had a lightened body. In 1987, the factory made five white lightweight S4 models with a manual transmission for racecar drivers who were on their payroll at the time (Derek Bell, Jochen Mass, Hans Stuck, Bob Wollek and Jacky Ickx). These were close to same as later actual Clubsport models and can also be considered prototypes for it.

With this registry we hope to help people all over the world:

  • to find their cars and/or parts
  • to bring engine and car owners together to get cars complete again
  • to bring old documents from former owners back with the car, like bills of sale or old pictures and to complete the history of the car
  • to sort out if the car is original

If you have suggestions, please let us know.
